“The Yamamoto Bunker in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea, is a significant World War II site associated with Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the architect of the Pearl Harbor attack. Located near the Rabaul Museum and the former New Guinea Club, this reinforced concrete structure served as the command center for the Imperial Japanese Navy’s anti-aircraft and searchlight defenses in the town.”
